HAW-W08 soft rubber

HAW-W08 is a soft rubber based on bromobutyl rubber (BIIR).

Description

HAW-W08 is a soft rubber based on bromobutyl rubber (BIIR). The layer thickness of the rubber sheet may range between 3 and 6 mm.

Range of application

  • Protective lining for structural components made of steel that are subjected to chemical exposure
  • The lining of raw gas inlets for flue gas scrubbers in power stations and waste incineration plants, as well as reaction vessels and storage tanks that are subjected to aggressive chemical load and which are operated at temperatures up to 125 °C.

Characteristics

  • an outstanding chemical resistance
  • an outstanding temperature resistance (depending on the medium)
  • its suitability for vacuum-stressed environments
  • a high diffusion resistance

Processing notes

  • The spark test (holiday test) of rubber lining is carried out according EN 14879-4 by using a high voltage tester. For carrying out the spark test, only the high voltage testers of the company Elmed model Isotest IIRT or Isotest Inspect 35 as well as the test pistols of company Wegener model WEG 20, WEG 22 or WEG 100 are allowed.
